Ministry Excellence Learning Networks
Here’s a way to connect with other local church leaders who share a passion for ministry excellence and are dedicated to continuous learning and constant improvement. Through these connections we will share information, ideas, inspiration, innovations, and resources we have found helpful.
Our learning networks are organized by ministry focus and congregational size (based on average weekend worship attendance). For information on congregational size see the preceding page on the Dynamics of Church Size.
Our initial networks are focusing on congregational engagement and will be comprised of participants from similarly sized churches. If the vision of your church includes growing to the next level from your present size, feel free to choose that network.
Congregational Engagement Networks for Multi-Staff Churches
If your congregation averages more than 350 people in average weekend worship attendance and has four or more full-time staff members, this network will be ideal for you. With other leaders in similar sized congregations you will be able to participate in online conversations and webinars, discuss similar experiences and challenges, and share or receive information on resources helpful for the spiritual engagement of congregants in your church.
Second Chair Leadership Network
Second chair leadership is a term to describe full-time staff members that report to the Senior Pastor (or sometimes an Executive Pastor) in a church. In their roles they influence others and add value to the congregation. This is most common in larger congregations with multiple full-time staff members.
Second chair leaders have unique, needs, expectations, and opportunities to contribute to the success of their congregation. One way to grow in effectiveness as such a leader is to connect through this network with others in similar roles.
